this is fer all the maths guru-s. it is saed tat out of 100 under grad students, 99 of them would answer tis pri skool question wrongly. see if u can get it rite. ;)
Question: a customer went to mr ong's shop to buy a present. the cost price of this present is 18 dollars and the selling price is at 21 dollars. the customer paid with a 100 dollar note. as mr ong did not have any loose change, he took the 100 dollar note to exchange with another shopkeeper, and gave back the change of 79 dollars to the customer. however, the shopkeeper later discovered that the 100 dollar note is a fake. mr ong had no choice but to return the shopkeeper 100 dollars. how much money did mr ong lose during this transaction? tag mi the answers! i wana see how many can solve it. i got it wrong too. =P will post the answer in the next post.. ;) |
